Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz hosted an annual Veterans Day Observance on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Elmhurst Park. The ceremony honored those who have sacrificed for the nation.
“We are forever grateful for the sacrifices our veterans have made to protect our country,” Katz said. “Their bravery and dedication embody the true spirit of patriotism, and we must continue to support them and their families.”
The ceremony included a presentation of colors by the FDNY Color Guard, a performance of the national anthem, and a wreath laying ceremony.
In addition to Katz, Rep. Grace Meng and Councilman Bob Holden gave speeches.
